Sales Development Academy Overview:
Raccoon Media Group’s Sales Development Academy is a comprehensive, immersive program designed to fast-track graduates into successful sales professionals within the events and media industry. Over the course of 12-18 months, participants will be exposed to various aspects of the sales process, develop key commercial skills, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Features:
- Duration: 12-18 months
- Location: Based in Guildford, with opportunities for travel to industry events
- Structure: A structured rotational program, with placements across different teams and sales functions.
The role would be appointment setting for the first 6 months, moving into digital, customer care and sponsorship sales after 6 months and then starting to take on your own clients after 12 months. The role would require 100 calls a day and 3 hours on the phone minimum.
- Mentorship & Training: Receive guidance from senior leaders and sales professionals, with regular feedback and support to drive personal development.
- Career Progression: Opportunity to secure a permanent position in the sales team at the end of the program.
What You’ll Learn:
- Sales Fundamentals:
- Master the basics of B2B sales, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals.
- Develop expertise in consultative selling, focusing on client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers.
- Learn to manage client portfolios and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Event Sales & Sponsorship:
- Gain exposure to event-specific sales, including stand sales for exhibitions and sponsorship packages.
- Understand the commercial side of event planning, execution, and how to maximize revenue.
- Media & Digital Sales:
- Explore opportunities in media sales, including digital, and social media advertising.
- Learn how to leverage data and analytics to create effective marketing and advertising campaigns for clients.
- Business Development & Market Research:
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s client base by researching industry trends and competitors.
- Develop strategies to approach and win new business.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Degree calibre: Recent graduates from college and university or equivalent non-university experience.
- Passion: A genuine interest in media, events, and sales, with a drive to succeed in a target-driven environment.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Confidence in presenting and negotiating, resilient, self-motivated, problem solver.
- Adaptability: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
