Job title: Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented Operations Director to lead and manage the operational delivery of our B2B exhibitions and trade shows. This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless planning, execution, and post-event analysis of all operational aspects across multiple events, both domestic and international. 

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of event logistics, supplier and venue management, and the ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. 

Reports To: Managing Director  
Location: Guildford/Hybrid 
Salary: £60,000 doe p/a + commission

Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic & Operational Leadership 

  • Define and implement operational strategies for the efficient delivery of exhibitions and trade shows. 
  • Lead and manage the Operations Team, including hiring, training, and performance development. 
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Content teams to ensure operational alignment across departments. 
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in operational processes and customer experience. 

Event Planning & Execution 

  • Oversee the full operational lifecycle of events from venue selection and contract negotiation to on-site delivery and post-event reporting. 
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, schedules, health and safety compliance, and risk assessments. 
  • Lead the development of event floorplans in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams. 
  • Ensure exhibitor and contractor manuals are accurate, updated, and distributed on time. 
  • Coordinate with international stakeholders, including local partners and logistics providers for overseas events. 

Supplier & Stakeholder Management 

  • Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with venues, contractors, logistics providers, AV suppliers, security, and other third-party vendors. 
  • Ensure SLAs are met and deliverables are achieved within budget and to agreed timelines. 
  • Manage contracts and procurement processes for key operational suppliers. 

Compliance, Health & Safety 

  • Ensure all events meet legal, health and safety, insurance, and licensing requirements. 
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all documentation and procedures are compliant. 
  • Implement and enforce sustainability policies in line with company ESG goals. 

Budgeting & Cost Control 

  • Create and manage detailed event budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and value for money. 
  • Monitor and report on operational expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings. 

Technology & Systems 

  • Evaluate and implement event technology solutions such as floor plan design tools, registration systems, onsite management tools, and event apps. 
  • Streamline internal operations using digital tools to increase efficiency. 

Requirements: 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 7–10 years in event operations, with at least 3 years in a senior/leadership role within B2B exhibitions or trade shows. 
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale exhibitions (domestic and international). 
  • Experience managing teams and working in cross-functional environments. 

Skills: 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities. 
  • Negotiation and budget management skills. 
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure. 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management. 
  • Proficiency with event tech platforms (e.g., ExpoFP, Ungerboeck, Swapcard, or similar). 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Additional certifications in health & safety, project management, or event operations are a plus.

Job title: Marketing Director – B2B

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Director to join the award-winning team at Raccoon Media Group.

As Marketing Director, you will take full ownership of delivering a multi-faceted global marketing campaign, managing the strategy, team performance, and execution across all channels on a globally recognised B2B acquisition. You will play a pivotal role in driving visitor numbers, supporting the exhibitor promotion campaign, and ensuring all marketing activity contributes to hitting revenue targets and delivering a strong return on investment.

This role requires significant experience leading the marketing for events of this scale, with a proven ability to deliver audience growth, strengthen exhibitor engagement, and maximise commercial opportunities. You will work closely with sales, content, and operations teams to ensure key event goals are met and customer satisfaction is consistently high.

This position would suit a results-driven leader with a track record of motivating and developing a marketing team, bringing both creativity and commercial focus to deliver outstanding event outcomes.

Reports To: Group Marketing Director

Location: Guildford
Hours: Full time
Salary: £60,000 doe p/a + commissio

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hold overall responsibility for the performance and management of the marketing team, working with individuals and the group to drive campaign effectiveness, develop skills and foster collaboration
  • Manage and lead the achievement of marketing KPIs, including visitor registration targets, audience engagement metrics and campaign ROI, while providing regular performance and analytics reports for the leadership team
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive marketing plan covering strategy, forecasting, budget pacing and phasing and channel mix, ensuring activity is aligned with event revenue targets and brand objectives
  • Collaborate with international marketing partners and overseas agents to support global audience development and market expansion
  • Oversee targeted marketing and engagement strategies for priority visitor and exhibitor segments, ensuring high-quality leads, increased conversion and long-term audience loyalty
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director and Event Director to ensure full alignment between marketing and sales, with a joined-up approach to promotional campaigns, lead management and market intelligence sharing
  • Lead the planning and strategic participation in competitor and international industry events to boost brand visibility, gather insights and strengthen market positioning
  • Develop extensive knowledge of key market sectors and ensure the team remains informed and responsive to industry trends, audience needs and competitor activity
  • Demonstrate a data-driven, results-first approach while fostering a creative and innovative environment that drives performance and reflects Raccoon Media Group’s values
  • Communicate regularly with the wider business to keep teams updated on campaign progress, performance highlights and strategic developments
  • Be accountable for all marketing deliverables, complying with internal processes to ensure quality standards, brand consistency and service propositions are met

Must have:

  • At least 8 years’ experience leading the Marketing of a B2B event
  • Experience managing a team
  • Be within commutable distance to Guildford

Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager

Location: Guildford

The offices are based in central Guildford. There is no office parking, but the offices are 10 minutes’ walk from the main train station.

Hours: Full time

Salary: £40-£45k depending on experience + bonus scheme

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to join the award-winning team at Raccoon Media Group, working on our newly formed but fast-growing Animal Health Division. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a proven track record of launching and running successful B2B and B2C events in the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, creativity and a hands-on approach to delivering results. You’ll be responsible for managing a small, talented team and overseeing budgets, while driving marketing strategy with an entrepreneurial mindset. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to the evolving needs of the events are essential. While experience in the animal health sector is desirable, it is not essential — what matters most is your demonstrable success in delivering impactful event marketing campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver the marketing strategy for the Animal Health Division, aligning with business goals and event growth targets
  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, print, social, PR and partnerships for both B2B and B2C audiences
  • Line management responsibilities
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively
  • Drive audience acquisition and exhibitor engagement, ensuring strong attendance and commercial outcomes for events
  • Collaborate closely with sales, content and operations teams to ensure integrated campaign planning and execution
  • Measure and report on campaign performance, using data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • Adapt strategies and tactics as needed, maintaining flexibility in response to changing event needs or market conditions

Experience & skills:

  • Proven experience in launching and managing successful B2B and B2C events in the UK in a senior marketing role
  • Strategic marketing experience, with the ability to develop and implement effective, commercially driven marketing plans
  • Strong team management skills, with experience leading, mentoring and developing small teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to think creatively, act decisively and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
  • Be willing to be hands on – all team members work on each event so it’s important to note that this will be a role where strategy and delivery will be required
  • Excellent budget management experience, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and maximising campaign ROI
  • Deep understanding of audience development, lead generation and customer engagement across multiple channels
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, confident using data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally
  • Experience in the animal health, veterinary, or life sciences sector is preferred but not essential
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
